SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY - MCCARTNEY, RINGO HONOUR DEAD BEATLES WITH YOKO, OLIVIA

Despite years of feuding, SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY and JOHN LENNON's widow YOKO ONO have shown that they can put their differences aside at a ceremony in Las Vegas.

Honouring Lennon and fellow late BEATLE GEORGE HARRISON, the two met up with band member RINGO STARR and Harrison's widow Olivia to pay tribute to the pair.

The ceremony marked the first anniversary of the Cirque du Soleil's BEATLES musical LOVE, at the Mirage hotel in Vegas, with portraits of Lennon and Harrison unveiled by the four.

Speaking of McCartney, Yoko said: "John would have been very happy and glad that this show is such a success, and also that another magnificent man introduced him - I'm very thankful to him."

The pair have a 40-year history of bust-ups, including a clash of personalities which many fans blame for the eventual break-up of the Beatles in 1970.

In recent years the spat has erupted again when McCartney reversed Lennon and McCartney credits on his BACK IN THE US LIVE 2002 album to read "by Paul McCartney and John Lennon", rather than the traditional "Lennon-McCartney" which had been agreed in their early days as songwriters.

After the unveiling, the four attended an interview with talk show host Larry King, in the first time the quartet had been interviewed together.
