SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY - MCCARTNEY: 'LINDA'S COUNTRYSIDE WALKS HELPED ME GET OVER THE BEATLES'
Veteran rocker SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY has credited his late wife LINDA with helping him "heal" after the BEATLES split up in 1970.
The singer admits he's always felt uncomfortable travelling to remote places in England - because he hates finding himself in unknown territory.
However, Linda loved walks in the countryside, and MCCartney accepts these post-Beatles occasions taught him to relax and helped him come to terms with the demise of the Fab Four.
He says, "When we went for a drive, Linda always wanted to get lost. I had an in-built panic about being lost. I always want to know where London is. I don't want to get to, say, (Middlesex, England town) Staines and not know my way back.
"We would go down to the most obscure places, have a great time, find a little tearoom or a riverbank. She taught me little things like that, to relax and be down to earth. It was very valuable to me then, a great part of the healing process after the Beatles broke up."
Linda MCCartney lost her battle with breast cancer on 17 April 1998.

our prayers and blessings will always be with paul lady linda and their exceptional
family.
praise lady linda s life, her accomplishements, the mutual love between lady linda
and sir paul, their love of family, truth, and fantastic support system.
let their lives serve as an example of the correct way to behave.
to all, Godspeed and a long life.
soul mates will find each other again and again and again. so dont dispair, lady
linda is waiting for you as long as needed to watch the clan and bless them. all
the ka ka with $$$$ dont come close to outweighing the wonder the mccartneys have
and continue to have.
it is advisable that they wait until their time is neigh, not rushing into actions
that will cause a demise not permitting their reunion. Lady Linda, is always smiling
down upon them, knowing she will wait for their arrival in her loving arms, fragrant
scents, and loving words. there is no need to purposefully leave when it is not your
time. in heaven, time does not exist, Lovely Linda will be there when they are called,
to embrass and love them eternally
