SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY - MCCARTNEY AND ARQUETTE 'AN ITEM'

Paul McCartney is reportedly dating Hollywood actress Rosanna Arquette, who bears more than a passing resemblance to estranged wife Heather Mills.

Arquette, who starred in Pulp Fiction and Desperately Seeking Susan, was spotted walking through Kenwood House in Hampstead with the former Beatle this week.

The previous day the pair had been seen together outside McCartney's home in St John's Wood, north London.

"They acted like teenagers on a first date," an onlooker told the News of the World. "The body language said it all - they were almost joined at the hip."

Earlier this month, McCartney, currently embroiled in a multi-million pound divorce settlement with Mills, was thought to be dating American millionaire Nancy Shevell.

But the new pictures of the 65-year-old and Arquette, 17 years his junior, have put rumours of a romance with Shevell in doubt.

"I wonder how much Nancy knows about this friendship," a separate source told the News of the World.

"Just a few weeks ago Paul was giving her the same attention in New York. It'll put the cat among the pigeons."
