MAY: 'ASTRONOMY IS NOT DISSIMILAR TO ROCK'

QUEEN guitarist BRIAN MAY believes there is a strong link between rock music and astronomy, because both involve total immersion from the troubles of everyday life. May gave up studying astronomy at university in the 1970s to play with Queen but yesterday (23OCT06) released his book BANG! THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE. He says, "When you immerse yourself in music or thoughts of the universe you're a million miles away from all your worries and problems."
