MARIAH CAREY - MARIAH SAYS SHE AND NEW HUSBAND NICK CANNON ARE 'SOULMATES'

Mariah Carey has said she and her second husband Nick Cannon are "soulmates".

The pair were reportedly married in the Bahamas last week, though no official confirmation had been made.

But in an exclusive interview with People magazine, the 38-year-old singer has revealed that she and Cannon were indeed married at her beachside estate on April 30th.

"We really do feel we are soulmates," the Touch My Body star says in an interview due to appear in the celebrity magazine on Friday.

"I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me."

And Cannon, 27, added: "She is beautiful on the outside and ten times as beautiful on the inside."

Carey and Cannon have only been dating for a matter of weeks, having met on the set of her new video Bye, Bye, which he directed.

But according to talkshow host Oprah Winfrey, the nuptials were not as big a surprise as has been reported.

Speaking on her show on Wednesday, Winfrey revealed Carey had visited her prior to the wedding and "already had, on her body, a tattoo on her back that said 'Mrs Cannon'".

"They were already planning on doing it," she added.

The marriage is Carey's second, having been wed to Sony record executive Tommy Mottola for five years.

Actor and singer Cannon has not been married before but was engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks for five months.
