LATEST: THE GAME's manager JIMMY 'HENCHMAN' ROSEMOND has cleared up reports claiming the rapper has scored an early release from jail, insisting he was simply transferred to a different prison. The Dreams hitmaker, real name Jayceon Taylor, was alleged to be a free man on Monday (10Mar08) after serving just eight days of his 60-day sentence. He was handed the prison term in February (08) after pleading guilty to felony gun charges relating to an incident at a basketball game last year (07). Reports were then "confirmed" by a statement released by The Game's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, who said: "He is now on probation and will eagerly begin his court-ordered community service." But the hip-hop star's longtime manager Rosemond insists The Game is still behind bars - albeit at a different, unnamed location from the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in California that he checked into earlier this month (Mar08). Rosemond says, "Reports stating that the Game has been released from prison are false. "Although he was transferred from the Twin Towers, he is not expected to be released until early April in time to promote his upcoming album L.A.X. Times. The Game and his family would like to thank his fans for their continued support." The 28-year-old star will also be expected to complete 150 hours of community service and be placed on three years probation as per the terms of his plea deal.
