DIXIE CHICKS - MAINES' HUSBAND RECALLS DIXIE DEATH THREAT HORROR
DIXIE CHICKS star NATALIE MAINES' husband is still furious at the violent public backlash following the singer's anti-war comments in 2003.
Maines prompted a barrage of death threats when she told a London crowd at one of the group's gigs, "Just so you know, we're on the good side with y'all. We do not want this (Iraq) war, this violence, and we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."
And her husband Adrian Pasdar - who plays a politician in U.S. drama Heroes - is still bewildered her views caused so much controversy.
He says, "It changes you when you have police protection and your wife gets death threats.
"Our eldest son, Jackson, got used to having the FBI around and a police car in our driveway.
"At that point I reacted as a spouse and got angry."
