TOBEY MAGUIRE - MAGUIRE: 'I ONCE CAUSED YOUNG SPIDER-MAN FAN TO CRY'

Actor TOBEY MAGUIRE has learned not to reveal the magic of filmmaking to young SPIDER-MAN fans, after reducing one boy to tears. Spider-Man star Maguire is often approached by children wanting to know all about the superhero. And Maguire admits he once told a boy his character couldn't actually climb buildings, like he does on-screen, causing the child to cry. He says, "When they're really young, sometimes they don't quite know if I'm real or if I'm an actor. I'm not sure how to respond to their questions. "This one little boy asked me, 'How do you climb up the wall?' I had to explain the reality of it. So I said, 'They put the wall on its side so it's horizontal, so basically I'm crawling on the ground.' "I just crushed this kid... By the way, me and him are cool now. "I think the thing to basically do is lie."
