GOOD CHARLOTTE - MADDEN: 'HARLOW HAS TAUGHT ME HOW TO LOVE'

GOOD CHARLOTTE frontman JOEL MADDEN hates spending time away from his newborn child with NICOLE RITCHIE - because his daughter has taught him how to love. The 28-year-old rocker became a father after his Simple Life star girlfriend, 26, gave birth to their daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden earlier this month (11Jan08). Madden says, "I had no idea what love even was until Harlow came along. I've always been a guy who loves to love. Probably one of this things that define me outside of my work is love." And the singer insists being a father has made him so happy, he hates watching TV because the bad news reported brings him down. He adds, "This time in our life has been amazing, me and her mother feel like the luckiest two people alive and there is nothing we wouldn't do to protect her innocence. "It seems like you turn on the TV and it's all bad news."
