MADAME TUSSAUDS DEFENDS 'MATURE' RADCLIFFE WAXWORK

LATEST: Bosses at Madame Tussauds have dismissed accusations they prematurely aged their new DANIEL RADCLIFFE waxwork to save re-doing the stature in a few years. The 17-year-old became the youngest ever star to be immortalised in wax at the London landmark on Monday (01Jul07), but critics have questioned why the youthful Harry Potter actor is depicted in a conservative suit and tie and sporting stubble on his face. However, a spokesman for Madame Tussauds insists their statue is a fair reflection of its celebrity subject. He says, "Our sculptors use a lot of photographic references. It is accurate."
