Punk legend JOHN LYDON has been accused of singing racist songs to staff at a London bar.
The 52-year-old allegedly sang "bloody Arabs" and "towel heads" with his friends during a seven hour drinking binge in a west London public house on Wednesday (23Jul08).
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "They were singing songs with lyrics that were clearly derogatory about Arabs.
"It was shocking to hear. They were singing at the top of their voices and had to be told to be quiet because of the neighbours, but they wouldn't listen."
It is the second time Lydon has been accused of racism - he was accused of an attack on black Bloc Party singer Kele Okereke last week (19Jul08). But Lydon denied he was racist.

The term "punk legend" is an oxymoron - whereas John Lydon is simply a moron. I had the misfortune of recording some of these morons when "punk" arrived on the scene in the late '70s, and they are still the same old bunch of talentless blowhards that they have always been. What they do is circus, not music, and the sensationalist-seeking sectors of the media have much to answer for in creating nonsensical concepts such as "punk legend". I read recently that JL recently told someone to grow up and come back when they had achieved what he (the great JL) had! What's that John? First prize in "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here"? Punk was crap the first time round, and the sooner we consign the second time round to the dustbin - for good - the better! (Having got that off my chest, I suppose I shall now live in permanent fear of a visit from JL's thuggish entourage).
