LUFT DAUGHTER'S SADNESS AT MISSING OUT ON GARLAND

Singer LORNA LUFT's teenage daughter is constantly reminded she never knew her famous grandmother JUDY GARLAND, by fans of the legendary singer/songwriter. Luft's 16-year-old daughter VANESSA was born 21 years after THE WIZARD OF OZ legend died of an accidental barbiturate overdose. Luft, whose father was Garland's third husband SIDNEY LUFT, says, "My daughter sometimes gets incredibly sad at not having met her. "With the whole world aware of how incredible your grandmother was, you're bound to really feel it. I've always told her, 'You would have got on so well with her.' It is sad but I've always fought to keep my mother and her legacy alive for my children."
