CHAD LOWE - LOWE'S FATHER SLAMS SWANK

CHAD LOWE's father is stunned to hear his former daughter-in-law HILARY SWANK wants to start a family, because she never wanted to have children when she was married. The Oscar winner, 32, was married to Lowe for eight years before the couple announced they were divorcing in May (06). Lowe's father CHARLES, an attorney in Dayton, Ohio, tells American publication National Enquirer, "All I can say is wow! I'm a little shocked. She didn't want kids when she was married to Chad - he did!" Swank is currently seeing her agent, JOHN CAMPISI, who has a three-year-old son and is still married to his wife KIRSTEN. She has now filed for divorce following an 11-year-marriage. The MILLION DOLLAR BABY star said during a recent news conference to promote her new film FREEDOM WRITERS, "I definitely would like kids someday. "I just love kids and that would be an important thing to happen to me someday....whenever the time is right." Swank has obviously had a change of heart since her marriage. Lowe adds, "(Chad) was anxious to have children. He'd have loved to have had a baby with her. "It was my understanding that she was more focused on her career."
