CHAD LOWE - LOWE'S DAD UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED BY SWANK'S CONFESSION

CHAD LOWE's furious father has blasted his estranged daughter-in-law HILARY SWANK for going public with his son's substance abuse problems in a magazine article. The double Oscar winner has stunned Hollywood by revealing all actor Lowe's 2003 drugs and alcohol problems in a new Vanity Fair interview, suggesting her husband's issues were the beginning of the end of their marriage. Lowe, who has since sought counselling and is now sober, was shocked by his wife's magazine revelations - and his family is upset with Swank's decision to talk about the matter. Lowe's father CHARLES, an Ohio lawyer, claims Swank is simply trying to taint her estranged husband's reputation to win a better divorce settlement. He fumes, "I have been a divorce lawyer for 42 years and I can tell you it is not unusual to find a spouse in a divorce situation attempting to elevate her or himself by degrading the other spouse. "Chad is baffled as to why Hilary did this... He loved her and still does, despite this public hatchet job... I am very disappointed."
