COURTNEY LOVE - LOVE FACES REHAB LEGAL ACTION

A drug rehabilitation centre is taking legal action against Courtney Love over an unpaid bill.

The 42-year-old rock singer is being sued by the Beau Monde rehab centre in California for the princely sum of $180,000 (£93,188).

This relates to the period she spent in 2005 at the clinic after a judge sentenced her to 180 days treatment after breaking probation on previous offences in three separate incidents.

It is alleged by the plaintiff at the case, filed at Orange County supreme court, that Love paid up a $10,000 fee on arrival but has since evaded settling up with the rehab clinic.

Love, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, would not have lived a spartan lifestyle during her time at the Beau Monde clinic.

As well as massages, yoga sessions and spirituality counselling, the one-on-one clinic for "high-profile individuals" also features whale watching as a way of soothing its suffering clients' souls.
