JIMI HENDRIX - LOST HENDRIX GUITAR TO BE AUCTIONED
The first guitar famously burned by rock legend JIMI HENDRIX is be auctioned off in London.
The late rocker appeared on stage at the city's Astoria venue in 1967 holding a flaming Fender Stratocaster - and the moment has gone down in rock and roll history.
The instrument has now been found, more than 40 years later, and is expected to fetch more than $1 million (GBP500,000) when it goes under the hammer later this year (08).
Other lots for sale include the last surviving drum kit belonging to late Led Zeppelin star John Bonham and Jim Morrison's final notebook of poetry written before his death in 1971.
