GINA LOLLOBRIGIDA - LOLLOBRIGIDA TO WED IN ROME NEXT YEAR

LATEST: Italian actress GINA LOLLOBRIGIDA will marry a man 34 years her junior in Rome in January (07). The 79-year-old star, who was hailed as the most beautiful woman in the world in her youth, met Spanish husband-to-be JAVIER RIGAU Y RAFOLS at a party in Monte Carlo and they have been dating for 22 years. The couple wanted to exchange vows in New York next month (DEC06) but decided to switch locations "given the interest and the affection of many European friends, in particular Italian and Spanish ones". It will be the COME SEPTEMBER star's second marriage. She was divorced in 1971 from Yugoslavian-born doctor MILKO SKOFIC. Lollobrigida has co-starred with some of the biggest names in Hollywood including HUMPHREY BOGART, YUL BRYNER, ROCK HUDSON, FRANK SINATRA, SIR SEAN CONNERY and TONY CURTIS.
