LOHAN RISKED FASHION DISASTER

LINDSAY LOHAN's recent spell in rehab almost lost her a lucrative fashion deal with label Jill Stuart. The label's Japanese financiers threatened to withdraw funding for a brand new advertising campaign featuring Lohan, after seeing pictures of her looking worse for wear last month (May07) - according to the New York Daily News. A source says, "The Japanese (Jill Stuart) licensee paid for it, and they wanted to pull the plug when she went to rehab. Japan accounts for the lion's share of the business. The day Lindsay appeared on the front page of the newspaper crashed out in the front seat of the SUV, the Japanese informed (Jill Stuart CEO) Ron Curtis they no longer wanted to be involved. And they are the ones who financed the campaign." But Curtis insists the deal is still on: "The ads are running as planned, and we have the utmost support for Lindsay and her rehabilitation, and she is doing great. They will also appear in all of the major lifestyle fashion magazines for fall in Asia and the U.S."
