LINDSAY LOHAN - LOHAN BLAMES MOVIE INDUSTRY FOR LEDGER'S DEATH

Hollywood actress LINDSAY LOHAN has blamed the movie industry for 'killing' her pal HEATH LEDGER. The Mean Girls star, who was once romantically linked to Ledger, was devastated after the actor was found dead in his New York apartment last month (22Jan08). And Lohan believes the Brokeback Mountain star was driven to an early grave by his profession. Likening his death to that of screen legend Marilyn Monroe, Lohan tells New York Magazine, "You know, it's also tragic what just recently happened to someone else." Asked by the interviewer whether she was referring to Ledger, she nods and adds, "They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone." Ledger died following an accidental overdose of prescribed medications.
