THE SOUND OF MUSIC - LLOYD WEBER LAUNCHING ANOTHER UNKNOWN

Fresh from filling the lead role of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, SIR ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER is launching another unknown singer set to take the world by storm. The PHANTOM OF THE OPERA composer was blown away when he heard a recording sent to him by American teenager ANDREA ROSS, and flew out to the US to audition her. Lloyd Webber cast CONNIE FISHER in his London production of The Sound Of Music after she won through on his hit TV show HOW TO SOLVE A PROBLEM LIKE MARIA?. And now Lloyd Webber has produced 15-year-old Ross' debut album for the Universal Classics label. Ross, from Boston, Massachusetts, says, "We met in the presidential suite of the Peninsula Hotel. "That was intimidating enough and then he introduced his music producer NIGEL WRIGHT, who I know from watching AMERICAN IDOL. I was really nervous. "I ended up singing six songs and eating lunch with him, and he invited me to sing at the Sydmonton Festival in Berkshire (England)."
