LIVELY INSPIRES PENN PERFORMANCE

Veteran actress ROBIN WRIGHT PENN was so impressed with her co-star BLAKE LIVELY's performance in an upcoming movie, she tried to imitate the young star's portrayal.
Lively stars as young Pippa Lee in forthcoming film The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, while 42-year-old Penn plays Lee at a later stage in her life.
And Lively reveals that Penn decided to base her character on the Gossip Girl star - after being inspired by the 20-year-old's depiction of the repressed housewife in her early years.
She says, "It's her character I'm playing, so we talked about it. I asked, 'Are there any Pippa tendencies you want to talk about?'
"But she said, 'What are you talking about? I saw your reading and copied you!'
"So I didn't have to worry about doing anything that Robin was doing."
