LISA MARIE PRESLEY GIVES BIRTH TO TWIN GIRLS

Lisa Marie Presley has given birth to twin baby girls, her publicist has announced.

The 40-year-old, Elvis Presley's only child, gave birth to the twins by caesarean section on October 7th.

"Babies and mom are happy and healthy and resting at home," a statement added.

The girls, whose names have not yet been confirmed, weighed 5lb 15oz (2.7kg) and 5lb 2oz (2.3kg).

They are Presley's first children with her producer husband Michael Lockwood, 47.

She has a 19-year-old-daughter and 15-year-old son from her marriage to Danny Keough.

After her divorce in 1994, she went on to briefly marry Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage.
