LEWIS HAS THE X-MAS FACTOR

British talent show winner LEONA LEWIS has bagged the coveted Christmas number one spot in the UK charts with her debut single A MOMENT LIKE THIS. THE X FACTOR winner knocked reformed British boy band TAKE THAT off prime position. The hunks had sung with Lewis just days earlier (16DEC06) on the final of the hit TV show. They still had reason to celebrate, however - their comeback effort BEAUTIFUL WORLD retained top spot in the UK albums chart. Meanwhile MCFLY's SORRY'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH and GIRLS ALOUD's cover I THINK WE'RE ALONE NOW clinched third and fourth places respectively, while THE POGUES' festive favourite FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK was up from 10 to the number six slot in seasonal singles race. Christmas stalwart SIR CLIFF RICHARD's customary offering - this year entitled 21ST CENTURY CHRISTMAS - dropped five places to number seven.
