Recordings which reportedly suggest JOHN LENNON had a questionably close relationship with his mother have been released by the author of a new tell-all book about the star.
Philip Norman claims in a new biography, John Lennon: The Life, that the tragic musician lusted over his former bandmate Sir Paul MCCartney and fantasised about his own mother.
Lennon was raised primarily by his maternal aunt Mimi but was reunited with his mother, Julia Lennon, as a teenager.
And according to the New York Post, Norman has revealed he has a series of audio recordings of Lennon discussing his mum in lurid detail.
A voice alleged to be Lennon's from a 1979 interview says: "I was just remembering the time I had my hand on my mother's t** in number one Bloomfield Road (in Liverpool). We were lying on the bed, and I was thinking, 'I wonder if I should do anything else...' I always think that I should have done it - presuming she would have allowed it."
Norman was recently slammed by MCCartney and Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, who has reportedly withdrawn her endorsement of the book over the allegations despite apparently agreeing to be interviewed for the biography.
