LEE'S SCHOOL DAZE SEQUEL WITH KANYE SHELVED

Moviemaker SPIKE LEE's plans of turning KANYE WEST into a film star have hit a snag - no one wants to fund the film.
The director has penned what he thinks is "a very good script" for the sequel of his 1988 movie School Daze - and he wants West to star in the film with Alicia Keys.
But no one likes the idea.
He says, "The film takes place at the same college but 25 years later, but the powers that be didn't want to tell that story. It was gonna have Kanye in it and Alicia Keys."
The original School Daze starred Laurence Fishburne, Giancarlo Esposito and Tisha Campbell-Martin. .
