LED ZEPPELIN ARE OVER, SAYS PAGE'S MANAGER
Rumours of Led Zeppelin touring and recording with a new lead singer are incorrect, according to Jimmy Page's manager Peter Mensch.
Mensch himself had fuelled press speculation of a reunion when he told BBC 6Music the rock legends were considering taking to the road and recording studio with a replacement singer for frontman Robert Plant.
But speaking to Music Radar earlier this week, the manager of guitarist Jimmy Page has clarified his remarks, saying the Whole Lotta Love stars have scrapped reformation plans.
"Led Zeppelin are over," he said. "If you didn't see them in 2007 [in their one-off reunion gig at London's O2 Arena], you missed them.
"It's done. I can't be any clearer than that."
He went on: "They tried out a few singers [to replace Plant], but no one worked out. That was it. The whole thing is completely over now. There are absolutely no plans for them to continue. Zero.
"Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it."
Plant had insisted he was uninterested in rejoining Led Zeppelin full-time, having found new success through his collaboration with country singer Alison Krauss.
When asked if Page would be pursuing other musical projects, Mensch replied: "F****d if I know. I'm waiting to hear."
