LED ZEP 'OVER', CLAIMS MANAGER
LED ZEPPELIN'S manager has reportedly claimed that the legendary band is now "over".
It was recently announced by Peter Mensch that the band would tour and record with a new singer, in light of Robert Plant's reluctance to perform more dates with them.
Several names have been rumoured to be in the running for the job in recent months, with WHITESNAKE'S David Coverdale recommending that the band use a series of guest vocalists.
However, Mensch appears to have had a change of heart in an interview with Music Radar.
"Led Zeppelin are over! If you didn't see them in 2007 [when they played a one-off reunion at London's O2 arena], you missed them. It's done. I can't be any clearer than that," he is quoted as saying.
"They tried out a few singers, but no one worked out. That was it. The whole thing is completely over now."
Meanwhile, Robert Plant has insisted he has not fallen out with the band over his decision not to rejoin them.
