LAW + ORDER star FRED THOMPSON is considering a run for the White House as US PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH's Republican replacement. The actor, a former senator for Tennessee, revealed his intentions in an interview with Fox News this morning (12MAR07), but he plans to wait a while before making his 2008 presidential bid official. The actor told the news organisation he plans to "wait and see what happens" before making a decision on his political future.
