JOHN LARROQUETTE - LARROQUETTE'S PLANE BLACKOUT

Actor JOHN LARROQUETTE once got so drunk he woke up on an airplane with no idea where he was heading. The MCBride star, who was an alcoholic in the 1970s and 1980s, began his drinking binge in Los Angeles and it was only when the aircraft landed the next day that he realised he was in his hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. He says, "I once woke up from a nap thinking it was cold and I realised I was sitting on a jet plane flying somewhere - and I didn't know where it was going. "And I was too embarrassed to say, 'Hey, where's this plane going?' So I kept listening to the accents of the people around me and leaning over to the guy next to me: 'Hey, what's the weather like there? Is it hot?' "I used to have blackouts. I was a raging alcoholic and I had no idea where I was going." Larroquette adds, "I guess I got drunk one night and decided to go home (to New Orleans)."
