LILY ALLEN - LADY SOV: LILY IS THE BIGGEST CHAV GOING

Up-and-coming grime hero Lady Sovereign has lashed out at fellow British star Lily Allen for being "the biggest chav going".

While still making her name in the UK after early success in the US, Lady Sov has not pulled any punches when describing the Smile singer and her rise to fame.

In an interview with the Observer Music Monthly magazine, the 21-year-old said: "I'm not hating on her but someone like Lily Allen, just 'cause her dad's famous, doesn't have to work as hard as someone like me.

"You get some of the media hating people 'cause they're 'chavish' but she's the biggest chav going."

The rising MC is signed to the DefJam label, famously winning a place on the label's roster after impressing legendary rapper Jay-Z with her freestyle.

However, to date Lady Sov has been a low-key figure in the UK, although her latest media salvoes should catch the eye.

As well as her rant at Brits loser Lily Allen, the Wembley tyro also had some choice words for Grammy-nominated singer Corinne Bailey Rae after meeting her while filming a segment for a television show.

"I told her she was boring and that she should be called Corinne 'Boring' Rae," she told the Daily Mirror, adding the singer was "fake".

"She's too nice. She sings about life being as sweet as roses but it's not. It's crap."

Coincidentally, last week saw Lily Allen criticise Rae for exactly the same fault, labelling her "boring".
