KILL BILL - KUNG FU CARRADINE: `QUAID STOLE MY BAND'
KILL BILL star DAVID CARRADINE has accused movie star DENNIS QUAID of stealing his band.
Carradine claims he turned a bunch of musicians his pal Harry Dean Stanton introduced him to into a "really hot, very tight band" only for The Rookie star Quaid to come along and nab them during a hiatus.
Carradine's original Cosmic Rescue Team now perform as The Sharks behind bluesy rocker Quaid.
The Kung Fu star explains, "Sometime, when I wasn't doing music for six months, Dennis came along and picked up on the band and stole them from me.
"The next time I was ready to do a concert I called up my band master and he said, 'We can't play because we're going to an undisclosed location in the Persian Gulf on an aircraft carrier playing for the troops.'
"I said, 'How did you book that? I want that gig.' He said, 'Dennis knows this general and that's how it happened.'
"That's how I found out Dennis had my band and I had to go and get another band and train them all over again."
But Carradine insists there's no bad feelings between himself and Quaid: "Dennis is an old friend of mine... We're like family friends."
