Newly-wed songstress KT TUNSTALL is planning a trip to the North Pole.

The Scottish musician, whose hits include SUDDENLY I SEE and OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD, will join a host of other celebrities, including JARVIS COCKER and MARTHA WAINWRIGHT on the expedition, reports the Daily Record.

According to the newspaper, the trip aims to raise awareness of global warming and is being organised by the charity Cape Farewell.

Making his comments to the publication, a spokesman said: "The ambition of our seventh expedition is to inspire the creative team to respond to climate change both in the Arctic and on their return."

KT married drummer Luke Bullen in a private ceremony on the Isle of Skye over the weekend.

It was previously reported by the Daily Record that Tunstall and Bullen are planning an around the world trip for their honeymoon, with the songstress saying they will take a few months off around mid-October and go exploring.
