KRIS MARSHALL - KRIS MARSHALL SUFFERS HEAD INJURIES AFTER CAR CRASH

Actor Kris Marshall has been hospitalised after being hit by a car.

The My Family star is being treated at the Bristol Royal Infirmary following the incident which occurred while he was out with friends on Sunday night.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Avon and Somerset police have confirmed.

A police spokesman told Metro: "There was a collision between a car and pedestrian shortly before 01:00 on Sunday. It happened in St Augustine's Parade in Bristol City Centre.

"Police spoke to the driver of the car involved, which was a VW Polo. He stopped immediately after the collision and we are looking into how it happened.

"He was not a drink driver," the spokesperson added.

Marshall, currently seen in the BT television adverts, won the best comedy newcomer prize at the British Comedy Awards in 2002.
