KORN GUITARIST TO RELEASE SOLO DEBUT
KORN guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch is to release his debut solo album SAVE ME FROM MYSELF on September 9th.
The album is to chronicle the private life of Welch, including his struggles with drug addiction, leaving Korn and discovering spirituality.
It was recorded over two years in Phoenix and features guest appearances from several musicians, including Tony Levin and Josh Freese.
Talking about the lead single Flush, Welsh said it is "a perfect way for me to come back into the music world because it's basically about flushing all the crap in life down the toilet and starting out fresh - exactly what I've been doing for the last few years".
He added that his lifestyle before was "total insanity" and that he was "just glad I'm not dead".
Welch's autobiography was published last year and went on to sell more than 70,000 copies.
KORN singer Jonathan Davis is also planning a solo record, reports Music Radar.
