GREY'S ANATOMY star T.R. KNIGHT is happy with his decision to come out as gay, despite being warned it was a 'bad idea'. Knight revealed the truth about his sexuality last year (Oct07) following an incident with castmate Isaiah Washington, who is said to have called the 34-year-old a 'faggot' during an on-set argument with co-star Patrick Dempsey. Knight tells US gay magazine The Advocate, "I remember saying to someone when I got one of those 'don't do it' (comments) - I just remember hearing my voice being calm and saying, 'No, it's going happen. It's going to happen. I'm just letting you know.' "I made the decision to make a statement. I could have not (spoken up). I could have retreated. But I'm definitely happy I made the decision."
