KNIGHT JOINS GAY DAY OF SILENCE

GREY'S ANATOMY star T.R. KNIGHT will keep his mouth shut on Friday (25Apr08) when he takes part in the 12th National Day of Silence ceremony in Los Angeles.
The openly gay actor, who claimed he was forced to 'come out' in 2006 after a fight on the set of the hit medical drama, will join gay rights activists for the long silence at the Miguel Contreras Learning Complex.
Sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), the initiative is held to help combat bullying and harassment of teenage gays in schools and colleges.
Friday's Day of Silence has been dedicated to 15-year-old California student Lawrence King, who was shot to death in February (08) by a fellow student.
