British soul singer BEVERLEY KNIGHT refuses to allow men to sleep with her until they have been tested for sexually transmitted diseases.
The COME AS YOU ARE star implemented her safe approach to sex after her best friend died of AIDS.
The 33-year-old says, "It changed my life. Before that I was probably a bit lax about sex and sexual matters.
"Now if a new person comes into my life we have a responsibility to each other to check everything's alright."
