Blues great B.B. KING was handed a special honour during his performance at the Bonnaroo Music + Arts Festival in Tennessee on Saturday (14Jun08) - he was awarded the key to the city of Manchester.
Mayor Betty Superstein awarded the 82-year-old musical legend the status during an emotional moment in the middle of the guitarist's set.
The partly wheelchair-bound star feared the honour would be something he'd forget - because diabetes is robbing him of his memory.
He told the Bonnaroo crowd, "I can't remember anything, but I can remember that I am now 82 years old."
