THE KILLERS - KILLERS ANNOUNCED AS HEADLINERS FOR READING, LEEDS

The Killers have been announced as the headline act for this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.

A message on the festivals' official websites said the Las Vegas band would play Reading on Saturday August 23rd and Leeds the following day.

Further line-up details were due to be revealed later on Monday, with tickets going on sale at 18:45 BST.

The dual-venue event, which takes place this August bank holiday weekend, is expected to attract some of the biggest names in rock.

According to the festivals' promoters, the Killers will be playing their "much-loved hits" and newer tracks from their latest album Sawdust.

Last year the Killers, fronted by Brandon Flowers, headlined both Glastonbury and the V festival.
