NICOLE KIDMAN - KIDMAN SPLASHES OUT ON GBP12 MILLION HOME

Hollywood actress NICOLE KIDMAN has reportedly splashed out on a GBP12 million ($23.4 million) home in London. The star decided to buy the lavish townhouse after spending most of her time in the UK because of filming commitments for new movie HIS DARK MATERIALS. Kidman is expected to move into the plush pad in the Mayfair area of the city next month (JAN07), after renovations on the house are completed. A source tells British newspaper The Express, "Nicole's staying at the Dorchester (hotel) because she's filming PHILIP PULLMAN's His Dark Materials at Shepperton Studios. "She saw the house was for sale and decided that, as she spends so much time here, it would make sense to have her own place. "Nicole's neighbours are rich Russians and security is tight, which was an added attraction."
