KID ROCK - KID ROCK ESCAPES CHARGES OVER ALLEGED ASSAULT

LATEST: Rap/rocker KID ROCK will not be charged over his alleged assault of a woman in his native Michigan, due to lack of evidence. A 28-year-old woman claimed the AMERICAN BAD ASS star shoved her as she attempted to leave a party at his house in MAComb County on 8 March (07). However, prosecutors said the rocker, who recently divorced PAMELA ANDERSON, will not face charges because no sufficient evidence has been found to back up the woman's allegations. Oakland County Prosecutor DAVID GORCYCA says, "The reports are fraught with differing eyewitness accounts and without substantiating injuries there exists insufficient evidence to support a charge." Rock, real name ROBERT RITCHIE, said he is considering suing the woman for making the 'false' claims. His lawyer MICHAEL NOVAK says, "These allegations were taken very seriously by Kid Rock and he's not going to walk away. "It's just a complete, unfounded lie."
