KELLY'S NEPHEW SHOT, ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED ROBBERY

R. KELLY's teenage nephew has been shot - after reportedly attempting to rob a barbershop in Chicago, Illinois.
Brandon Kelly, the 15-year-old son of the R+B hitmaker's brother Carey Kelly, was taken to a local hospital late on Thursday (06Nov08) night with chest injuries after being shot twice by the shop owner.
Police believe the boy was up to no good - but his dad is convinced Brandon is the innocent victim in this situation, and could have just gotten caught up in someone else's crime, reports TMZ.com.
According to Fox News' Chicago affiliate, Brandon has now been taken into police custody in connection to the attempted robbery.
