KELIS - KELIS JOINS FORCES WITH CAR MAKER

R+B star KELIS has signed to promote Ford's new car launch in the new year (07). The MILKSHAKE star will be the face of the company's advertising campaign on radio, TV, and in urban publications for new motor The Edge - a relationship she revealed at last night's (18DEC06) Black and White ball, organised by husband NAS. According to AllHipHop.com, Kelis says, "I am an informed buyer who likes to shop around for what I like. "I prefer bold designs and that's what I see when I look at the Edge. I believe it was built to defy expectations and change people's perceptions, two concepts that have helped me define who I am." The star is the latest in a string of celebrities to endorse cars, after British royal ZARA PHILLIPS lent her name to 4X4 brand Land Rover earlier this month (DEC06).
