DIANE KEATON - KEATON TURNS PRESERVATION PASSION INTO NEW BOOK

Actress DIANE KEATON is paying tribute to classic Californian architecture in a new photo book featuring classic Spanish homes. The actress is a member of America's National Trust For Historic Preservation and spends much of her time in between movies renovating and maintaining historic buildings throughout California. And now, to get others interested, she has collected photos of some of her favourite homes for a new coffee table book, called California Romantica. Keaton says, "I really want to preserve these homes. It's not impossible to live in an old home, they're really not as impossible to fix as people think. "All you have to do is call me; I'll help you."

I own and live in a small, adorable Spanish Bungalow immediately south of the proposed
Movie Museum ($400 million budget)...as in 25 yards.
I am not at all opposed to the plan and even look forward to, perhaps, working there
as a tour guide or ticket taker.
But in the current article in "Los Angeles Magazine," Steven Spielberg commented
on his dislike of the architecture in Hollywood as an unattractive mix of tudors
and Spanish...it appeared he would love to simply bulldoze anything that wasn't of
his liking.
The article did not refer to including our properties in the development, but I'd
like to stop them at the pass, as it were.
Can Diane Help Us? We are 20 matching bungalows in a park-like setting perpendicular
to Cahuenga Blvd, circa 1926, just south of Fountain.
