KEANE - KEANE PAIR'S DEAD-END JOBS
Before rockers KEANE found success, frontman TOM CHAPLIN worked in a care home and keyboardist TIM RICE-OXLEY underwent medical trials for schizophrenia drugs.
The pair feel they appreciate their success all the more, because of the years they struggled in dead-end jobs.
Rice-Oxley was a guinea-pig for new pharmaceuticals - and Chaplin explains his previous employment, "(I was) changing nappies on grown men and wondering all the while whether the band were going to get the recognition I knew our songs deserved."
