ATOMIC KITTEN - KATONA WAS 'MISDIAGNOSED' WITH MISCARRIAGE

LATEST: Former ATOMIC KITTEN singer KERRY KATONA is still pregnant with her fourth child after doctors wrongly told her she had had a miscarriage. The British reality TV star, 27, and her husband Mark Croft were reported to be "sad and tearful" after learning she had lost her baby following a rush to hospital on Tuesday morning (25Sep07). But on Wednesday (26Sep07), her publicist Max Clifford claimed Katona was simply misdiagnosed with a phantom miscarriage after suffering some abnormal bleeding. He tells British publication Heat World, "After further examination it has been revealed that Kerry Katona is still pregnant. Kerry went back into hospital for a medical procedure last night. "However, a blood test revealed surprising results - her pregnancy hormones had gone up, not down. Kerry was taken for a second scan and was shown her baby's heart beat. It has transpired that Kerry is only five weeks pregnant, not seven to eight weeks, which is why the scan was not clear and coupled with bleeding led to her being diagnosed with having had a miscarriage. She is still at risk of complications - however she and Mark are ecstatic that she is still pregnant with their baby." Katona and Croft are already parents to Heidi, seven months, and the former pop star has two daughters - six-year-old Molly and four-year-old Lilly-Sue - with ex-husband Brian MCFadden.
