KASABIAN - KASABIAN ROCKER MEIGHAN BLASTS 'RUBBISH' GLASTONBURY

KASABIAN frontman TOM MEIGHAN has dismissed the success of this year's (08) English music festival Glastonbury - claiming the event did not receive "honest" coverage.
The festival, which took place last month (28-29Jun08), received rave reviews from industry insiders, despite the event organisers initially facing a barrage of criticism for signing hip-hop legend Jay-Z as a headlining act on the festival's main Pyramid Stage.
But rocker Meighan isn't convinced the weekend was a success - accusing the media of "lying" in order to make Glastonbury seem better than it was.
He tells Gigwise.com, "To be honest with you I thought Glastonbury was rubbish this year and I'm not just saying that.
"I think people are lying again to cover it up like it was a success and it wasn't... It was really bad. I'm not just saying it because of Jay-Z, I just thought the whole thing was crap this year, you know what I mean?"
