KANYE WEST ARRESTED AT NEWCASTLE NIGHTCLUB

Kanye West has been arrested and released without charge following an alleged scuffle with a photographer at a Newcastle nightclub.

The US rapper was held briefly following the incident at Tup Tup Palace in the city's centre in the early hours of Friday morning.

Northumbria police said West, 31, had been arrested on suspicion of assault.

"We can confirm that a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident at a city centre club

"No further police action is being taken."

West was in the city following his Metro Arena concert as part of his Glow in the Dark Tour, which continues in Sheffield tonight.

Earlier this year the rapper was arrested on suspicion of vandalism after a row with a photographer at Los Angeles international airport, although no charges were levelled against him.
