JOURNALISTS STORM HURLEY WEDDING FORT
Around 50 enraged journalists attempted to gain entry to Liz Hurley's wedding, causing a major scuffle with security guards.
While it might be going too far to describe the fight as a pitched battle, it was certainly notepads at dusk for the paparazzi camped outside the fort where Hurley's three-day Indian wedding to businessman Arun Nayar was reaching its culmination.
The fight originally started outside Mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur as reporters chased down the couple arriving in their Bentley car.
Reports suggest that a security guard "slapped" a female journalist, causing angry reprisals from the media who had been blocked out of the wedding proper because of the standard photo deal which – reportedly – has been made with a UK magazine.
Journalists then pursued the car through a security cordon and all hell broke loose before the situation finally calmed down.
While the carnage took place outside the happy couple tied the knot inside, having previously done so in England last weekend.
They were scheduled to fly back to Mumbai today.
