JONES SENTENCED TO SIX MONTHS IN JAIL

Shamed Olympic sprinter MARION JONES has been sentenced to serve six months in prison. The athlete appeared in court in White Plains, New York on Friday morning (11Jan08) to face sentencing for fraud and lying about her steroid use to federal investigators. As well as jail time, Jones will also serve community service upon her release. Jones pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud in October (07). The mother-of-two collected five gold medals at two Olympic Games.
